Character and Word Counter

If you're working with a number of sites and always looking to add information - it could be a string of tags, a summary,  a list of keywords or similar then you may find this little routine useful.

I wrote  a few macro commands in Excel to count the characters in a string, count the words in a string and enable you to replace one string with another.  You can also specify what characters delimit your string of words - i.e. a space or comma.

The macro also enables you to take a string of words and then enclose each of the strings in double quotes - 

e.g. word 1,word 2 becomes "word 1","word 2".

This last feature is useful when working with Google.
